I am unsure of how many days I require.

Can I just pay for one day and then pay the helper directly (perhaps for another 6 days).

You can do this but we cannot guarantee that anyone will be free to help you if you pay day by day.

If you pay the online deposit in advance it means that you have a guaranteed helper.

How much in advance do I need to make a booking or pay the deposit?

We can take bookings as late as 1 or 2 days in advance but we prefer at least 3 or 4 days or a week. Once you have decided to use our service you should pay the deposit as early as possible as it will guarantee your booking

(at busy times we may be fully booked and unable to take new bookings at late notice.

Can I just pay the helper directly (I don't want to pay online)

Please contact us if you are unsure about paying online. It is very quick and easy. You can pay with a number of different bank and credit cards. We use PayPal so we will never see your bank/credit card information. It is very safe and secure. There is no need to have a paypal account. Just scroll down to the bottom of the page and choose the credit card/bank card option. We do require a deposit of at least $22.

Will I have the same helper if I need them for a number of days to a week?

You may have the sme helper for the entire duration or you may have 2 or 3 helpers depending on their schedules and your requirements. Originally we thought that it would be ideal to have the same helper for the entire duration. However we, along with almost all of the clients and helpers, have come to the conclusion that sometimes it is better to use different helpers for different days. Our customers generally enjoy meeting new helpers, getting new perspectives etc. Also the helpers may not always be free for the entire duration of your trip.

How do you find the helpers?

Many are university students therefore once one person has worked for us they introduce

their friends and so on. So most of the new applicants are found by word of mouth

and personal recommendations. We generally don't need to advertise as such.

How do you ensure the quality of a helper?

Usually they are firstly recommended to us by one of our trusted helpers.We then read through their resume and application letter and interview them. They must be good at English, friendly, enthusiastic, honest, generally

interested in meeting and helping foreigners. We then ask each helper to write a report about their experience and

add advice and interesting information to the web-forum so that it will help other people in the future. We also really encourage and hope that our clients will give us feedback about their experiences so that we can continually improve in every way possible.

Can a helper travel with me to different Cities?

Unfortunately we are no longer offering this service. It may be possible during the University vacation times.

Do you have helpers in Hong Kong?

No unfortunately we only have them in Beijing and Shanghai at present.

Do you have any set priced tours?

No, we did try this however it doesn't really make much sense when the attractions, transport etc are so cheap. You will spend nothing compared to what you spend on your hotels, shopping and food (even though that can be very cheap).
